July 25th – First ever World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

This Sunday, July 25 marks the first ever World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Starting this year, it will be celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday in July. Pope Francis made this announcement in January. Dorothy Cardinal, a Stoney elder and parishioner at Sacred Heart of the First Peoples, offers her own prayer on this day.
